Our Story 

This Innovation started with our Founder's own need to charge his vehicle at a newly acquired retreat property in the beautiful town of Forrest VIC, on the edge of the Otways National Park.

Being a destination location he was able to install Destination Chargers.   These work very well for guests while management are present.

However, this approach was very much under-utilising the capacity of the Chargers in a town where there were no Public Charger Points available.

Many Destination Chargers are not networkable using the OCCP protocols or in any other way.

Being an Engineer (with a can do attitude) and having spent the last 16 years running and guiding the tech company Intelli Messaging, there was really only one option;  Create a Solution.   It is important also to note that he had promised the next creation would have a significant impact on our shift to renewable and clean energy.

As of 2024 in Australia, and world wide, there is large shortage of charging points for EV owners, hindering the take up Electric Vehicles. 

 

It is also very difficult to own an EV Charging Network as a profitable business .  This is due to the nature of EV charging where 90% of it is done at home.  While holidays periods create great demand for en-route charging, normal periods have very low demand, and thus lower return on investment for these enterprises.  This is why the roll out of these networks is too slow.

Tesla alone has over 650 Destination Charging locations. There are others manufacturers like Porsche who also have large existing networks.  There are many other private chargers that could also be made public.

With a small cost these chargers can be networked and made public by using our solution.  This approach drives up the number of Public Charging Points without high cost and marginal profit associated with installing new chargers.

Our system also allows home owners to open up their Chargers to the public, where off street access is available.
